Lebanon Natural Gas and Electricity Deal

In September, the energy ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon met in Amman to approve a roadmap for supplying the latter with natural gas and electricity. According to the roadmap, the gas supplies would come from Egypt, the electricity would be produced in Jordan, and both would be transported to Lebanon via Syria. Laury Haytayan, an energy expert from Lebanon, comments on the significance of the deal for Lebanon and the wider region.
